DESCRIPTION:Climate change is one of the most urgent issues in our world today. We need to rapidly decarbonize the economy to keep warming below catastrophic levels\, and we need to make sure we’re not leaving anyone behind as we do. \nAs socialists we believe that combating climate change is vital to creating a world in which all people have their basic needs met. Our vision for an ecosocialist future includes energy justice for all\, elevating the voices of indigenous peoples and other marginalized communities who are disproportionately affected by climate disasters\, and preventing corporate interests from hijacking this fight for our future. Join us — a better world is possible! \nYou do not need to be a DSA member to attend. Parking is available on the street but biking\, walking\, and transit is encouraged.
